Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana
The Central Government of India has started the sinchai scheme called Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana for the farmers of India belong to the financially weaker section with the motto of “Har Khet Ko Paani”. The Central Government of India has allocated 4,000 crore rupees to farmers of different states under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Irrigation Scheme ‘Per drop more crop’. Under this Krishi Sinchai Yojana is provided to farmers who belong to the financially weaker section of India. The scheme is being implemented to expand cultivated areas with reduce wastage of water, assured irrigation, and improve water use efficiency.

Objective of PMKSY
The main objective of PMKSY is to the convergence of investment in irrigation at the field level. Apart from this, another objective of PMKSY is to Improve On-farm water use efficiency to reduce wastage of water.

All farmers or farmers of any category are eligible to avail of this Yojana.
In this Yojana, members of Self-Help Groups, Cooperative Societies, Trusts, Cooperative Societies, Producer Farmers’ Groups, and Incorporated Companies are eligible to take benefit by registering.
All the applicant's farmers must have their own agricultural land.
Those farmers who are residing in India are eligible to take advantage of this scheme.
Eligibility Criteria for PMKSY
Although the detailed notification about Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana is not yet opened for the common farmers of India, we all are aware of the common eligibility criteria that need to be taken care of while applying for this scheme. Only citizens (farmer brothers) residing in India are eligible to apply for this Prime Minister Agricultural Irrigation Scheme.
